Somalia to see a new PM in coming days
Mogadishu (Harar24) – Following the recent ousting of former Somali Prime Minister Shirdon after being voted out of office by the majority of parliament, Somalia is expecting see a new Prime Minister in the upcoming days.
Somalia’s President Hassan Mahmud is believed to be holding consultations with close aides and associates, and even cancelling his scheduled visit to Kenya to partake in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of independence in the neighboring country.
The president had met all of those running for the post of Prime Minister, they include Abdiwahid Gonjeh who at one point of time served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport, Hussein Halane who at a time served as the nation’s Minister of Finance and Nurudin Diri who served as a special advisor to UNICEF.
As internal feud and discord have become unfortunate factors in Somalia’s parliament, Somalis although skeptical are keeping their fingers crossed in hope of a discord free government.
