Al-Shabaab warns Mogadishu residents to stay away from Government centers

Mogadishu,(Harar24)- A top Al-Shabaab commander in Mogadishu while speaking to local media told Mogadishu residents to stay away from government centers and AMISOM bases inside the city.

Al-Shabaab appointed governor of Banadir Province, Sheikh Ali Mahamed Husein said they would increase their attacks in the city and warned residents not to get close to any buildings that house government troops while giving telephone conference last night from an undisclosed location.

Sheikh Ali said “”We warn each and every residents in Mogadishu to stay away from government bases as we will target those area” he said, “We do not want to kill any innocent people in our attacks so we ask you to stay away.” added Sheikh Ali.

Al-Shabaab have increased their attacks in Mogadishu recent months with the last attack being this week when at least 10 security forces were killed in an IED attack in the Dayniile district of Mogadishu.
