BREAKING: 2 Sierra Leonean armed vehicles damaged as they land in Shabaab ambush

Dhobley (Harar24) – Troops belonging to Sierra Leone landed in an ambush as they were travelling to Tabto.

The ambush occurred this noontime at Dalbiyo, close to Dhobley, in the Lower Jubba region. According to incoming reports, a vehicle belonging to the Sierra Leonean forces was completely destroyed, whilst another one was heavily damaged. Human casualties remain unconfirmed, but further reports to come might reveal the exact details of casualties.

The ambush was carried out by fighters belonging to the Al-Shabaab movement, who’ve taken Sierra Leone as a sworn enemy since joining to AU peacekeeping forces. This attack comes after a previous ambush carried out by Al-Shabaab against Sierra Leonean troops at Tabto a few days ago, according to an Al-Shabaab spokesman 5 troops were killed in the attack.

Sierra Leone has recently heightened its security over that Al-Shabaab might attack them, especially after the Westgate mall attack.
